in a few words...

ok, seriously... in a few words! I don't know what few words means, but I will try.

This weekend was sweet. Not just 'sweet' in the sense that it was good but 'sweet' in the sense that it was at best, in my limited human knowledge, Heaven on Earth. Jose and Belkis, the Youth Pastor and his wife, planned a weekend retreat with the youth leaders. The men went to a ranch while the ladies spent a beautiful Miami weekend at the beach.

Three scriptures come to mind:
As iron sharpens iron, so a man sharpens the countenance of his friend. -Proverbs 27:17

A friend loves at all times, and a sister is born for adversity. -Proverbs 17:17

Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their labor. for if they fall, one will lift up his companion. But woe to him who is alone when he falls, for he has no one to help him up. -Eccelsiastes 4:9-10

This weekend I was able to experience a sweet fellowship, not that I don't always but spending 24-7 was different. It was awesome to spend a weekend with the women who I serve alongside, to know them for who they are apart from the four walls of the church. We shared our hearts and views on different topics, where God has us and shared some crazy funny stories. Everyone was assigned to prepare a devotional (no specific theme) to share. It was increadibly sweet to witness how God prepared our hearts and though different parts of scriptures where read the theme of overall was pretty much the same: unwavering faith & full obedience. I can go on, but this is an attempt to share in few words, lol.

For You reading this post who serves in any ministry, I encourage you, challenge you to plan something similar, maybe a potluck of some sort and get to know those you serve with. Spend time in the word together aside from the "Sunday" fellowship. A threefold cord is not easily broke- there is power in unity.
God Bless YOU!

Here are a few pictures from this weekend:
I woke up to this beautiful sunrise, sat at the balcony and had a wonderful time with Jesus.

Beautiful view

We walked down the boardwalk. I love this picture.

Most of the wonderful woman I serve with.

How good and pleasant it is when brothers live together in unity! -Psalm 133:1
