Lyrical Friday: If we are the Body

Hi Readers.
Today’s post is both a challenge and a song for Lyrical Friday.

I strongly believe that we are living in the end times, we need to have a holy urgency for people's salvation. My prayer is that the hearts of those who know the truth (myself included) would be consumed in God's sacred kingdom business of reaching the lost. My heart is burdened, heavy ladden, torn and moved with compassion for people. There are people hurting, misguided, confused, lost, drugged, abused, lonely, unloved, rejected, mistreated, unhealthy, decieved who need us to love them and share with them hope of Jesus. If we don't do it, who will? Witnessing as we call it is not an event we do Saturday nights, it is a lifestyle.

I have to confess that I am tired of hearing people say that the laborers are few. When I hear Christians say or pray this, it’s like the wrath of God comes upon me. What if the problem isn’t necessarily the amount of laborers but that the laborers aren’t laboring? People, if we are the body of Christ why aren't His arms reaching, why aren't His hands healing, why aren't His words teaching, why aren't His feet going, why is His love not showing them there is a way. Could you imagine how many souls would be HEaven bound if everyone who declares to be a follower of Jesus Christ actually went out and preached the Gospel, helped someone in need and reached out and loved someone!? As you listen to the lyrics of this song by Casting Crowns I pray that you may be challenged to be Christ-like. We shouldn’t be idle Christians, mediocre and asleep. Wake up! The Lord is at hand! I am trusting and believing that God has set apart ourgeneration for this great and mighty work.

If Jesus touched the untouchable lepers in His day, I hope we can find untouchable people who need to be loved in OUR day. –Bianca Juarez

But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. James 1:22

You therefore must endure hardship as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. No one engaged in warfare entangles himself with the affairs of this life, that he may please him who enlisted him as a soldier. 2 Timothy 2:3-4

But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and silver, but also of wood and clay, some for honor and some for dishonor. Therefore if anyone cleanses himself from the latter, he will be a vessel for honor, sanctified and useful for the Master, prepared for every good work. 2 Timothy 2:20-21

Let your gentleness be known to all men. The Lord is at hand. Philippians 4:5

Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Hebrews 12:1-2

But none of these things move me; nor do I count my life dear to myself, so that I may finish my race with joy, and the ministry which I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the gospel of the grace of God. Acts 20:24

I encourage you to make a difference in someone’s life today and everyday. Who can you talk to about Jesus?

I woke up with Acts 20:24 on my mind. I kept saying it over and over again.
