Lyrical Friday - Tender Mercy

I don't know about you, but as for me, this week has felt eternal. With great joy I say:
Happy Friday to YOU!
-
Today I was able to witness men and women, who once were enslaved by heavy chains, walk as free as ever. One man shared testimony of how he turned his life around and is now a new man. All of the people in that room, were now free and clean because someone tendered mercy unto them. The slate of their past stands now clean. Though this wasn't a church setting, nor was Christ ever mentioned, I couldn't help but think about Him. -

Yet I still dare to hope

    when I remember this:

The faithful love of the Lord never ends!
His mercies never cease.
Great is his faithfulness;
His mercies begin afresh each morning.
I say to myself, “The Lord is my inheritance;
therefore, I will hope in him!
Lamentations 3:21-24
-
We are guilty of falling short, not one is righteous, and all have sinned. As it is, we never do stop sinning but we can dare to hope. Upon the moment of repentance and surrender to God, His love and mercy are tendered to us. His love covering a multitude of sin. His mercy, greater than our sin(s), is made new to us each day! What a wonderful God!

-as High As The Mountains Try
your Love Falls All Around Me
as Wide As The East To West
my Sins Are Taken From Me

Lyrical Friday - Safe Place

People brought anybody with an ailment, whether mental, emotional, or physical. Jesus healed them, one and all. (Matthew 4:23)

One day as he saw the crowds gathering, Jesus went up on the mountainside and sat down. His disciples gathered around him, and he began to teach them. (Matthew 5:1-2)

When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them because they were confused and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. (Matthew 9:36

Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. (Matthew 11:28)

Jesus stood and said in a loud voice, “Let anyone who is thirsty come to me and drink. Whoever believes in me, as Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them." Luke 7:37-38

Where is my safe place? In the presence of Jesus.
As you spend time in your Bible, you can read for yourself that I am not the only one who found safety, refuge and rest in Jesus. The crowds followed Jesus. The crowds brought to Jesus their sick, weary, thirsty, cursed, deamon possessed... the list goes on. People took themselves to Jesus, because only Jesus can give to them, to you, to me what our soul needs. Jesus is a safe place.

I pray that as you play Safe Place by Enter the Worship Circle, that you would find refuge and strength in the presence of Jesus. Though the world around may be crumbling down, know that Jesus can be your safe place. If the world has turned its back on you, Jesus can be your safe place. No matter where you find yourself today, know this very moment than Jesus can be your safe place.

Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the LORD, “He is my refuge and my fortress,  my God, in whom I trust.”
Psalm 91:1-2
Safe Place, Enter the Worship Circle

You whisper the song over me.
I’m slow to answer,
slow to speak.
I found a safe place.

[chorus]
How wide is your love?
How wide,
How deep,
It's untouched.
Am I not enough?
I’ve found a safe place in you
I’ve found a safe place in you

Remember the day you called my name
I was a stranger but you loved me the same
I found a safe place

You are the one my heart is waiting for
You are my treasure,
You are my king,
You are the door
You hold me tight,
You hold me quiet
You hold me safe

How wide is your love?
How deep,
How high
It’s untouched
Am I not enough?
I found a safe place in you
I found a safe place in you

Lyrical Friday - You Are Mine

Hello Dear Friends!
I recently came across Enter the Worship Circle and as soon as I heard 'You Are Mine' it became an athem. I am currently reading and studying the book of Isaiah. God has certaintly taken me on a most beautiful journey through this book and I can't get enough of it. So naturally, hearing the lyrics to this song confirmed once again what He has been speaking to me... I am His.

But now, thus says the LORD, who created you, O [enter your name here], and He who formed you, O [enter your name here]: “ Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by your name; You are Mine. Isaiah 43:1

I pray that through this song you may be reminded of this great truth. In the words found in Song of Solomon: my beloved is mine, and I am His. God bless YOU!

You Are Mine, Enter the Worship Circle

maybe i don't have the strength
maybe i don't have the faith
you brought me here in forty years
when i know this trip should take a week
i've shed my tears and shed my blood
been outran some by the flood
and winter steals my songs away
in all of this i've come undone
.
when you walk through the water
i will be with you
when you pass through the river
those waves they will not overtake you
when you walk on the fire
those flames they will not touch you
you are mine
you are mine
.
i've been a child
i've been a slave
and i've grown bitter
and learned to pray
i've packed my bags and started back
the cost is just too high to pay
.
when you walk through the water
i will be with you
when you pass through the river
the waves they will not overtake you
when you walk on the fire
those flames they will not touch you
you are mine
you are mine.
you are mine.
