Hi Friends!
I am not feeling to well today so my post will be short. I covet your prayers.
Youth Camp was nothing short of exciting, adventurous and amazing. Definitely one of the hardest camps we've experience but over flowing with the power of the Holy Spirit and God's Word. Every year there is a song that unofficially becomes the camp song/theme. This year, Like An Avalanche by Hillsong United was that song. I pray that as you listen to the lyrics, that you would be humbled and surrender all.

Lyrical Friday - We the Redeemed
Hi my beautiful readers.
I am so excited to share with you today's Lyrical Friday song, We the Redeemed written by Jill McCloghry. I pray that as you sit back, listen and meditate on these lyrics that your heart and mind may be moved to worship the one who has redeemed you. As for me, I find myself in a strange place: in a desert but not dry. This song speaks to me in a very personally way, I the redeemed have hope, therefor, I can abide in this place until God tells me otherwise. God bless you.
You will lead the people You have redeemed with Your faithful love; You will guide [them] to Your holy dwelling with Your strength. Exodus 15:13 [HCSB]
And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is. May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God. Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen. Ephesians 3:18-21

Lyrical Friday - Walk By Faith
Hi.
One of the darkest times in my life happened when my Grandfather suddenly passed away. I was confused, angry and broken-hearted. It was in that time that this song by Jeremy Camp sustained me and comforted me through this season. At times, I had to sing even though everything about did not want to believe that I would be joy filled again. Walk by Faith, is a prayer that my heart has taken ownership of. May you and I both, be a people who walk by faith and not by sight. And even on the broken road, may we sing hallelujah. God bless You Friends.
Walk by Faith, Jeremy Camp
Would I believe you when you would say
Your hand will guide my every way
Will I receive the words You say
Every moment of every day
[chorus]
Well I will walk by faith
Even when I cannot see
Well because this broken road
Prepares Your will for me
Help me to win my endless fears
You've been so faithful for all my years
With one breath You make me new
Your grace covers all I do
Well I'm broken- but I still see Your face
Well You've spoken- pouring Your words of grace

Lyrical Friday - Beautiful Ending
Happy Friday!
Today's Lyrical post is by Barlow Girl. I don't know how I haven't posted one of their songs. Beautiful Ending is today's song. These lyrics cause me to search my own heart. I hope to hear the Lord say to me, at the end of my life, "You were a Lily among thorns." That would be my beautiful ending.
You will be a crown of splendor in the LORD's hand, a royal diadem in the hand of your God. Isaiah 62:3
Beautiful Ending, Barlow Girl
Oh, tragedy
Has taken so many
Love lost cause they all
Forgot who You were
And it scares me to think
That I would choose
My life over You
Oh, my selfish heart
Divides me from You
It tears us apart
So tell me
What is our ending?
Will it be beautiful
So beautiful?
Oh, why do I
Let myself let go
Of Hands that painted the stars
And hold tears that fall?
And the pride of my heart
Makes me forget
It's not me but You
Who makes the heart beat
I'm lost without You
And dying from me
So tell me
What is our ending?
Will it be beautiful
So beautiful?
Will my life
Find me by Your side?
Your love is beautiful
So beautiful
At the end of it all
I wanna be in Your arms
At the end of it all
I wanna be in Your arms
At the end of it all
I wanna be in Your arms
At the end of it all
I wanna be in Your arms
So tell me
What is our ending?
Will it be beautiful
So beautiful?
Will my life
Find me by Your side?
'Cause Your love is beautiful
So beautiful

Lyrical Friday - Forever Reign
Hello.
Today's song is Forever Reign by Hillsong United. We sang this song last Sunday and I have been singing it ever since. I pray that as you read these lyrics and listen to the song, may the God of goodness, love, light, peace, truth, joy and life be your comfort. Know that God loves you and desires nothing more than to bless you.
The LORD has appeared of old to me, saying: “ Yes, I have loved you with an everlasting love; Therefore with lovingkindness I have drawn you." Jeremiah 31:3
Forever Reign, Reuben Morgan
You are good, You are good
When there's nothing good in me
You are love, You are love
On display for all to see
You are light, You are light
When the darkness closes in
You are hope, You are hope
You have covered all my sin
You are peace, You are peace
When my fear is crippling
You are true, You are true
Even in my wandering
You are joy, You are joy
You're the reason that I sing
You are life, You are life,
In You, death has lost it's sting
//CHORUS//
Oh, I’m running to your arms,
I’m running to arms
The riches of your love
Will always be enough
Nothing compares to Your embrace
Light of the world forever reign
You are more, You are more
Than my words will ever say
You are Lord, You are Lord
All creation will proclaim
You are here, You are here
In your presence I'm made whole
You are God, You are God
Of all else I'm letting go
//My heart will sing
no other name
Jesus, Jesus//

Lyrical Fridays- True Things
Hi Friends. I am very excited about today's Lyrical Friday post. True Things by JJ Heller is one of those songs that brings a smile to my face. When I need cheering up, this song does it. It reminds me that who I am is God's beloved daughter- loved & set free! I am not bound to the things of this world. This song helps me love me.

-
When faced with the temptation to give into that which will keep you in bondage (whether it's overeat, not eat, etc.):
· “It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.” Galatians 5:1
-When you find your thoughts consumed by worries about what you did or didn’t eat or your body size:
· "Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes?” Matthew 6:25
-In the face of self-destructive behavior:
· "Everything is permissible for me"—but not everything is beneficial. "Everything is permissible for me"—but I will not be mastered by anything. 1 Corinthians 6:12
-
When tempted by gluttony or laziness:
· “No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it.” Hebrews 12:10-12
-When you’re struggling with negative thoughts about your body or physical appearance:
· “I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Your works are wonderful Lord, I know that full well.” Psalm 139:14
· You turn things upside down, as if the potter were thought to be like the clay! Shall what is formed say to him who formed it, "He did not make me"? Can the pot say of the potter, "He knows nothing"? Isaiah 29:16
-True Things, JJ Heller
-
I’m not the clothes I’m wearing
I’m not a photograph
I’m not the car I drive
I’m not a photograph
I’m not the car I drive
I’m not the money I make
I’m not the things I lack
I’m not the songs that I write
I’m not the things I lack
I’m not the songs that I write
-
I am … who I am
I am who I am
I am who I am
-
There are true things inside of me
I have been afraid to see
I believe, help my unbelief
Would you say again what you said to me
I am loved and I am free
I believe, help my unbelief
I have been afraid to see
I believe, help my unbelief
Would you say again what you said to me
I am loved and I am free
I believe, help my unbelief
-
I’m not the house I live in
I’m not the man I love
I’m not the mistakes that I carry
I’m not the man I love
I’m not the mistakes that I carry
I’m not the food that I don’t eat
I’m not what I’m above
I’m not my scars and my history-
I’m not what I’m above
I’m not my scars and my history-
--
To your love I’m waking up
In your love I’m waking up

Lyrical Friday - I Will Wait For You There
Hi Everyone!
I pray that today's song would ignite within you a desire for more of Jesus. I encourage you to set a date with God. Rotic moments are the best! (Rotic is romantic without the man, hehe)
Draw near to God and He will draw near to you... James 4:8
(Pause the music player on the sidebar)
I Will Wait For You There, Phil Wickham
I will wait for You there
Down on my knees where I met You
Give You all of my cares
Find a grace to hold onto now
I’m calling for You
I will wait for You there
far from the world and it’s violence
It left broken and bare
I need to hear You in the silence now
I’m calling for You
And with outstretched arms
I will sing out melodies
And my beating heart
Will pour out a symphony
Hallelujah’s in the morning
Hallelujah’s in the night
I will wait for you as long as I have life
I will wait for You there
Down On my knees where I met you
Cause life is a war fought with tears
But You are the strength I hold onto now
I’m calling for you

Lyrical Friday - Lord of Lords

Happy Friday!
This week's song has become the song of my heart. I promised you more songs from Brooke Fraser and Lord of Lords is one of them. She is a gifted writer with an anointed voice. The lyrics are so beatiful. Before you hear the song I would like for you to read the words, truly meditate on them and allow them to penetrate your heart.
Lord of Lords, Brooke Fraser
Beholding Your beauty
Is all that I long for
To worship You Jesus
Is my sole desire
For this very heart
You have shaped for your pleasure
Purposed to lift Your Name higher
Here in surrender
In pure adoration
I enter Your courts
With an offering of praise
I am Your servant
Come to bring You glory
As is fit for the work of Your hands
[Chorus 1:]
Now unto the Lamb
Who sits on the throne
Be glory and honor and praise
All of creation resounds with the song
Worship and praise Him
The Lord of lords
Spirit now living
And dwelling within me
Keep my eyes fixed
Ever on Jesus' face
Let not the things of this world
Ever sway me
I'll run 'til I finish the race
[Chorus 2:]
Now unto the Lamb
Who sits on the throne
Be glory and honor and praise
All of eternity echoes the song
Worship and praise Him
The Lord of lords
Holy Lord
You are holy
Jesus Christ
Is the Lord
[Chorus 3:]
Now unto the Lamb
Who sits on the throne
Be glory and honour and praise
Call all the sinners to join in the song
Worship and praise Him
The Lord of lords
(please turn off the music player on the side bar)
In her book, The Power of a Praying Woman , Stormie Omartian proposes a question that I have always gone back to (and I am paraphrasing), "Is Jesus lord over every area of your life or only the areas you allow Him to lord over?" So many times we limit God and only surrender parts of us. I encourage you to surrender all. I pray that God may be Lord over every area of your life- even that area that you don't want to surrender.
"...for He is Lord of lords and King of kings; and those who are with Him are called, chosen, and faithful.”
Revelation 17:14

Lyrical Friday- You'll Come Stronger
Hi Friends.
I could not choose between two songs, so I will post both: You'll Come & Stronger. The last few days have been rocky (in a good way) but God remains unchanging. I pray that as you open your heart to these two songs our precious Lord would strengthen you and bless you. May your chains be broken, may your lives be healed, may your eyes be opened and may Christ be revealed. My prayer is that He may be Lord over every area of your life.
Oh, that we might know the Lord!
Let us press on to know him.
He will respond to us as surely as the arrival of dawn
or the coming of rains in early spring.
Hosea 6:3
Cast your burden on the LORD,
And He shall sustain you;
He shall never permit the righteous to be moved.
Psalm 55:22
(please turn off the music player on the sidebar)
You'll Come, Hillsong
Stronger, Hillsong
