Lyrical Friday - The River

Happy Friday! The day has finally arrived. I am all packed and ready for Haiti. Our team flies out midday. Please keep us in prayer. A few prayer points: that all our luggage arrive safely / team unity / safety from illness / a fresh filling of the Holy Spirit / safe and smooth arrival and departure with plane ride, customs and transportation / also, no stomach situations. THANKS!!!

Since I won't be blogging, probably till to the new year, I wanted to leave you with one last lyrical post. Today's song by Meredith Andrews is for anyone. Because everyone is in need of saving. God not only provides our very need but He invites us to it. What'a Gentleman! Why not respond to a God that is so loving? Yes, He loves you and accepts you just as you are. Won't you come? I invite you too! Come!

The River, Meredith Andrews

-
Everyone is broken
And in need of a Saviour
So He came and was broken
For the mocker, for the shamed

Still our eyes are blinded
By the culture, by the lies
We can't see that we're filthy
We're fallen and so dry

But He invites us
Can you hear Him say?
He invites us
Hear Him call your name

Welcome to the river
Come drink, come wade
Come find your very life
Welcome to the river of God
Where your brokenness
Is washed away

Everywhere is the sorrow
And the pain of empty living
You can see it; look in their eyes
All the hopelessness of the world

But look closer, He is right there
In the midst of every fear
Living water is the offer
Restoration is the call

Find your healing
Find your freedom
In the river of God
Your healing here
Your freedom there
In the river of God

water, water, water

Therefore with joy you will draw water From the wells of salvation. ~Isaiah 12:3

I would like to thank everyone who donated water to send to Haiti. I promised an update and here is the great news, 43 packs of water were collected. That is a total of 1,032 water bottles. And about 15 gallons of water. It is amazing to see the hearts of real servants. The coolest part of this last minute collection is that the people who stepped it up were the amazing youth kids. A BIG thanks to the parents and kids of Uth Nation!

My prayer is that as these water bottles refresh and restore the dying people, that the true living water Jesus Christ may refresh, restore and redeem these people unto salvation.

Again, if you would like to get involved, partner up with either or both of these organizations: (1) Samaritans Purse, (2) Hands & Feet Project. Your financial support will be used to meet the needs of the Haitian people.
God Bless You and continue to pray for Haiti.

Lyrical Friday & Haiti Relief

Hi Everyone!
Before I blog Lyrical Friday's song I would like to direct you to two great organizations where you can donate financially to Haiti's current needs:
1. Samaritans Purse
2. Hands & Feet Project
Both are well known organizations and safe.

On a side note, I have been blessed to see God's people respond to a nation in need. As I was cleaning yesterday I noticed a 24 pack of bottled water. I felt God wisper, "Collect that for Haiti." So many people have responded to my text. I'll keep you posted on how much water will be collected for the Haitian people.

Come close listen to the story
About a love more faithful than the morning
The Father gave His only Son just to save us

The earth was shaking in the dark
All creation felt the Fathers Broken Heart
Tears were filling Heaven's Eyes
The day that True Love died, the day that True Love died
When blood and water hit the ground
Walls we couldn't move came crashing down
We were free and made alive
The day that True Love died, The day that True Love died

Search your heart you know you can't deny it
Come on, lose your life just so you can find it
The Father gave His only Son just to save us

The Earth was shaking in the dark
All creation felt The Fathers broken heart
Tears were filling Heaven's Eyes
The day that True Love died, the day that True Love died

The day that True Love died, The day that True Love died

Now, Jesus is alive

Jesus is alive
Jesus is alive
Jesus is alive
Jesus is alive
Oh, He is alive
He rose again

When blood and water hit the ground
Walls we couldn't move came crashing down
We were free and made alive
